'Original Salzburger Mozartkugel' - the brand says it all, only the hand-made praline from Fürst in Salzburg is allowed to call its Mozart balls that way. This famous sweet was invented in the 19th century, a time when Salzburg had a pretty hard time recovering from the Napoleonic wars, the end of salt trade and the loss of its independence. New a province of Austria, the city and its surroundings tried to market its heritage from the onset of European mass tourism - most importantly, pimping out Mozart in pretty much any possible way. A craft that Salzburgians still perform with much professionality.
