Mozart Memorial in Salzburg's city centre.

Once Mozart had been fired by the Prince Archbishop of Salzburg due to his disrespectful behaviour - remember the famous story of Count Arco literally kicking Mozart's butt. Later, Mozart came to fame and wealth in Vienna and Praque. After his death, the Napoleonic wars caused Salzburg's loss of independence and serious economic problems. The more the people of Salzburg welcomed the fame of Mozart - in the 19th century, the Mozart Memorial of Salzburg was opened with Mozart's widow Konstance Nissen (who had re-married) and one of his son being the honorary guests. Today, the Mozart memorial is among Salzburg's most-photographed attractions.
